Cameron Hicks, a rising star in the lifestyle and marketing spheres, has carved a unique path from his early days as a first-generation college student to becoming a prominent influencer and brand ambassador based in Austin, Texas. Raised in a military family, Cameron Hicks moved to Florida young, setting the foundation for an ambitious path. Eager to break free from echo chambers of thought, he found a resolve through his college path.
At Florida State University (FSU), he embraced his role as a first-generation college student. Funnily enough to Cameron, he had no clue about its renowned party culture but quickly discovered how it got the reputation. Navigating uncharted waters — application forms, financial aid, and a vast campus — tested his resolve. Yet, FSU’s diverse blend of cultures, perspectives, and experiences opened his eyes, honing his ability to build community and forge connections that now define his career and initiatives
Austin Adventure
Post-graduation, Cameron, accompanied by his partner Chloe, made the significant move from Florida to Austin, TX. This relocation was driven by Austin’s unique blend of local Austinites and a diverse influx of people from cities like Los Angeles, Florida, and beyond.
This diverse community oered a fertile ground for Cameron to expand his professional and personal networks, aligning with his aspirations for growth and connection.
In this dynamic hub, he co-founded a meetup group that’s steadily grown through Instagram and Facebook. These weekly gatherings welcome everyone, creating a space for socializing and unity. He also partners with Fetii, a group rideshare company, aligning with his passion for sustainable, community-driven solutions that enhance collective experiences.
In Austin, Cameron has established himself in the big tech industry, with a focus on marketing. His expertise in this field has enabled him to collaborate with notable companies and brands, showcasing his skills in digital strategy and consumer engagement.
Fashion Flow
Fashion runs deep for Cameron, perhaps inherited from his father, who modeled for agencies in Indianapolis and Chicago. To him, it’s a vital expression of individuality.
Asking him the most essential piece of an outfit? “Shoes. They define the outfit. Can’t have enough colorways of Dunks!”
Biggest fashion influences? “A$AP Rocky, Jerry Lorenzo, Virgil Abloh — visionaries who merge traditional with innovative, pushing boundaries while perfecting the essentials.”
2025 Vision
Looking to 2025, Cameron’s ambitions reach new heights. He plans to strengthen his network, bridging his Florida roots with his Austin base, collaborating with local bars, small businesses, and like-minded creators.
“Bringing people together for a shared purpose—whether through sports like football in my youth, music debates like GKMC versus TPAB, or lively gatherings — all drives me. I thrive on celebrating life and fostering positive energy that compounds over time.”
