Taking the Badge in Gunner

Another significant role came with Gunner, where John stepped into the role of Sheriff Bob Lilly.

The action film brought him onto the screen alongside Luke Hemsworth and Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman, adding another major production to his growing filmography.

Sheriff Bob Lilly also gave John the opportunity to portray a character with authority and presence while remaining grounded within the world of the story.
